Garden friends are once again invited to gather for Lunch in Bloom at Island Bay Yacht Club. This May soiree with all its charm of past years invites Garden friends to enjoy the food, a lakeside view of the Garden, and the excitement of a raffle.
DATE: Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Island Bay Yacht Club from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
MENU: The buffet luncheon will offer Honey Glazed Airline Breast of Chicken with a Pomegranate Sauce; Pistachio Crusted Salmon with a Honey Beurre Blanc; Romaine, Feta Cheese, Grape Tomatoes, Pickled Red Onions, Avocado, Rainbow Carrots with a Honey Vinaigrette; Roasted Fingerling Potatoes; Long Grain Wild Rice; Vegetable Medley (Broccolini, Squash, Onions, Grape Tomato, and Carrot); and Rolls and Butter.
For those preferring a vegetarian/gluten free meal, the chef will prepare Roasted Portobello Mushroom Risotto. The luncheon will also include a buffet dessert of Whipped Honey Ricotta with a Berry Compote (served in Queen Anne Glasses), and Chocolate Cheesecake with a Honey Graham Crust; and luncheon drinks—Iced Tea, Lemonade, and Coffee. Children 12 and under will order off the kids’ menu.
A cash bar will be available during the social hour with wine, beer, and soda. The pleasant sounds of live piano music will be heard in the background while attendees greet friends in this congenial setting.
Tickets are $60 per adult and $20 per child’s meal

PRIZE DRAWING: Artfully displayed in the Yacht Club’s Crow’s Nest will be an exciting assortment of unique items. Guests can admire and decide which of these selections they would most desire from the following: Artistically hand-painted Leopold Bench created by Cyndee Wilkin; a stunning photograph of LMG-resident pileated woodpeckers captured by Cindy Harris; a “For the Love of Birds” basket and a collection of “Products to Pamper” including local vendor gift certificates. Tickets for the drawing will be available at the
Yacht Club on the day of the luncheon. The announcement of the drawing winners will round out the day of casual elegance at the Yacht Club, with fond memories of a delightful luncheon spread and the lively camaraderie of fellow Garden supporters
